Police say a man has died after a shooting in Prince George. Around 5pm Friday evening RCMP received reports of shots fired in the 700 block of Johnson Street. A 30 yr old man was found with gunshot wounds. He was transported to hospital where he died a short time later.

Weather doesn't bend to the will of meteorologists' predictions. Warnings are a call to prepare, whatever the outcome. The Lower Mainland was grazed by the same system that slammed Washington state, where 109,000 customers are without power. We were lucky... this time.

BC folks have good reason to take storm warnings seriously. It’s been 12 years since a storm leveled 10,000 trees in Stanley Park with hurricane-force winds. A 2015 storm knocked out power to half a million BC hydro customers at its peak. Be warned... be prepared!
