Congress must restrict funding to the Administration and pass laws making indefinite detention of families illegal. Already 3 children have died from complications of the flu in our detention center, centers that do not give the flu vaccine.

Today I brought forward an ordinance that requires detention centers to report communicable diseases directly to the fire dept within 48 hours. It will apply to 4 facilities - including the GEO/ICE Detention Center & passed unanimously out of committee. Next up: Study Session.
