I have joined 12 of my colleagues in calling on Attorney General Jeff Sessions & the Dept. of Justice to halt family separations while Congress works on a legislative fix.

Wondering where pro-life groups were on the separation policy? So was I. So I asked them.

Not literally putting words in your mouth, but rather trying to capture your (and SBA List's) general views/approach. Would be delighted if I got it wrong! Thanks for seeing the crappy.

Re-uping this thread in case or wants another chance to respond. Also curious how SBA List's very public support of adoption tax credit is consistent with your claimed strict focus only on the right to life.

Depends what you mean by "major", but, despite their problems, such a list would have to include protection of the sick and disabled from physician-assisted killing...along with the huge fight waged for the adoption tax credit a few months back.

And first place for most creative email response goes to... "Before you open your foolish mouth again, you need to submit yourself to a sexually mutilating surgery performed with a razor. NOT a coat hangar to kill your child, but a razor to cut off your pleasure parts."

Here, Sarah is appropriating an argument pro-choice politicians and activists have used for years to silence or undercut religious opposition to abortion.

Does agree with President of US Conf. of Catholic Bishops' saying that their concern about the US asylum policy is about right to life? And, if so, have you spoken against the Trump administration policy change? And if not, why not?

2nd half of statement is false on its face: But 1st half is worth engaging. You only focus on right to life and thus are silent when it comes other kinds of violence/injustice done to innocent children. Disappointing but fair enough.

The point is to make the children as families suffer as deterrent. This has been said multiple times by Sessions, Miller, and Kelly. It is not controversial. They want the pain of this separation to deter others from trying to cross.

Yes, the AG, Chief of Staff, and senior adviser all made this clear.

No it is not. Or at least it is not a law that needs to be executed this way. The previous administration proved that. Plus, this administration, multiple times, said they were using the damage done to these children and families specifically as deterrent.

THIS from : “If the traditional pro-life movement is to regain credibility as something other than a tool of the Trump administration, it must speak out clearly...against harming innocent children as a means of deterring undocumented immigration.”
