Mark, Derrick, the lack of gratitude and respect you felt exactly why I have introduced this new event. Too late for you, we should have sorted before this, my apologies, but hopefully better going forward to recognise the life service people give to policing.

A new, vital event to mark and thank our officers and staff for their service. Emotional first ever recognition of service for those retiring, great people who will be missed but forever police family - Scottish policing built on public service and duty.

Police Scotland officers will be using these devices, in public spaces, to do their job. I joined Scott and Julie in a local cafe in Dundee to chat about these new devices. When you see our officers out like this, please come over and say hello, even if they look busy!
