Shoutout to the ASL interpreters, captioner + covering last night’s cross-talk shout-fest debate! It was frustrating, exhausting & sad. Yet, like many in the Deaf comm, I’m grateful to hve had functional equivalent access to the chaos.

"BS is more accessible than GC" is a myth. The biggest variable in either platforms' accessibility is the content posted to it. An accessible platform means little if the assignments aren't accessible. Listen to your students. Ask them what tech they need to be successful.

Wonder when schools & educators will get those drive-by salutes like from emergency services to hospital staff. Compared to hospitals, educators interact w/public, but w/less controlled mvmt thru the building, less PPE&cleaning, no means to isolate, test, & diagnose Ss or staff

"Quiet Streets" means we need to rethink who residential space is for. Close more streets *entirely* to cars, so pedestrians and cyclists can truly move freely. (I've provided this feedback in the previous survey and will in this survey as well.) Thanks!

It went terribly in my Scarborough neighbourhood. The pylons were often moved, and even if left in place, did nothing to change cars' dominance of residential space. Cars had same lane space & drove same speed (above speed limit)

Educators at every level have taken on an enormous burden getting schools ready. No one is about to do more than the in-school educator. From overhauling pedagogy, building new kinds of relationships, to protecting safety of ourselves&our Ss, respect to all school-based educators

Sick Kids has released initial findings from their school simulation study. Found 2m physical distancing was "not possible" with "more than 12-15 students in a classroom."

Everyone, please, our health is at risk! Stay physically distant and avoid events like weddings and dinner parties, which can be unsafe. Anyways, see you in class on Thursday!

Really worried about our focus as we return to school. So much effort to clean things and screen people at the door, when there's more that keeps us safe.

When we talk about John A Macdonald and genocide, it's essential to make it clear that we're not just talking about residential schools, though he was the key architect of that decidedly genocidal institution.

I think I've replied to no more than 3 of your emails with this response. But for realz, I feel bad for the intern who didn't have "IEP" included in their Public Relations Glossary

Do we know how much longer until Outlook webmail is available on chromebooks? CSD website says problem started July 31. I logged a ticket and was told Aug 19th there are "currently" problems. Important to have access to email these days! Thanks
