How can your Ss communicate their thinking about shapes, patterns and spatial relationships? Try this challenge! Ask them, “Can you code Bee-Bot to make a shape?” Invite them to describe, classify, and compare the shapes they create. Share w/us @ & Bee creative!

My Ss initiated the creation of Google Slideshows to give their "twisted fairy tale" skits a backdrop, which changed as the scenes changed... I thought that was a genius idea (and wish I'd thought of that years ago).

So much spatial reasoning in switching up the motion and programming Bee-Bot from that perspective!

Has anyone seen Frozen 2? Keeping in the spirit, try this self-led activity as Anna and Elsa create snowflakes and patterns. Can you describe the pattern? What do you notice about the turn blocks? How was the pattern created?

Challenge Time! If your Ss have been exploring Bee-Bot's forward motion recently, get them to do the same thing in reverse! Switch it up and have your Bee-Bots beep-beep-beep back on up to where they need to go! Share their problem solving so we can see how they did!
