Our colleagues from the British Transport Police were on patrol near to Loughton Underground Station last night when they had a juvenile male run from them. Despite all of the kit being carried they were to fit for him. Arrested for bladed article and drugs offences.

In case police lingo confuses - Local Policing Team from Loughton make an arrest after a vehicle fails to stop for them when they see a lawn mower hanging out of the rear door. Vehicle is then abandoned, person from the vehicle is then located & arrested for 4 crimes & a warrant.

12/08/2018 Brentwood officers at the start of their shift turned out straight away to Road Traffic collision. Luckily no injuries with only minor damage to both vehicles. Another arrest for drink driving as one of the drivers was twice over the legal limit of alcohol.

11/08/2018 Brentwood LPT and Special Constable saw a vehicle mount the kerb. When the vehicle was stopped the driver was that intoxicated he could hardly stand. Another potential killer off the road.

Responding to complaints from residents living on Doddinghurst Road, Brentwood about speeding vehicles our PCSOs carried out a speed check and found 50 out of 100 vehicles were exceeding the 30mph speed limit and 20 out of the 100 were prosecutable excess speeds.

Officers were in the nazeing area tonight speaking with residents with keyless car entry. Faraday bags given out whilst our stocks lasted which blocks the signal . Please keep keys away from front doors at night to prevent this method of theft

Lorry stopped on m25 last night as banging heard from rear . Assisted by highways,cpt from Loughton detained five males for immigration offences. Our local fire station assisted in thermal imaging of lorry to ensure no one left inside. All were safe and well .

11am 10/08/2018 Local Patrol Officers attended a report of a stolen vehicle coming into Chigwell from the Metropolitan Police area. Within minutes vehicle located and one occupant ran off but was not quick enough and was quickly hunted down. Two arrested for theft of the vehicle.

A male was seen in the Chigwell area this morning waving an electronic device around on the outside of a house upon the driveway of which was a keyless entry BMW X3. He left empty handed as the device did not pick up the signal from the 'key'. 'Key' was in a Faraday pouch.

He was still driving under the influence of drugs with the potential to kill someone so even without the possession offence he would have still taken up police time and even more if he had killed someone.

09/08/2018 Epping Forest Community Policing Team attended a shoplifter detained by staff in Waitrose, Buckhurst Hill. Male is arrested and is a prolific offender across the area. Charged with that offence but due to his offender profile he has been remanded to court this morning.

Vehicle seen speeding in Brentwood & stopped. Vehicle found to contain a large amount of drugs & driver provided a positive drugs test for cannabis & cocaine. Another road traffic offence leads to arrest for crime offences & possible killer taken off the road. Criminals use cars.
