Also, deer and other prey animals overpopulate because we routinely kill off their natural predators to “protect” livestock. Then we kill the abundant prey because they “compete” with livestock for food because they have “overpopulated.” Self-perpetuating, avoidable cycle.

A gene doesn’t cause lactose intolerance; a gene mutation causes lactase persistence. We perceive it as normal, but the ability to digest mothers’ milk past weaning is the less common, abnormal state.

In today’s blog, I’m sick of stupid shit. Telling people you’re not vegan because poor Black people can’t afford expensive cashew-based cheese is like saying you don’t drink soda because Flint, Michigan doesn’t have clean water.

At my intake appt for pregnancy I asked if my doc had concerns about my vegan diet (to gauge whether she’s up to date on the science) and her response was: “God no! We’ve had a bunch of pregnant vegans and you guys know what you’re doing!” 😁💚🌱🐾

Experts think sick dairy cows are to blame for last week's historic recall of potentially Salmonella-tainted beef. When I looked into it for , I found a plausible—and very surprising—story.

New: In 2017, USDA warned JBS over "egregious" treatment of sick dairy cows at the plant responsible for last week's recall. How that helps clarify an outbreak's source:

It’s also journalistic malpractice for the headline Adam’s referencing to not specify it’s 100 *fossil fuel* companies that are responsible for 71% of global *fossil fuel* emissions. Many people are now conflating this w/ all climate change drivers.😨 See:

Criticizing vegans for "ignoring" other world issues is like criticizing firefighters for ignoring floods elsewhere.

There's no more forceful imposition of a viewpoint than the forcing of a knife into a throat, the forcing of a bullet into a brain, or the forcible separation of babies from their mothers which is the basis of dairy farming & all animal agriculture:

I don't wish harm on farmers, but can any dairy farmers explain this video? I thought dairy cows lacked maternal instincts and didn't care about their calves, so what would be the need to warn farmers about the safety risks of interfering with newborns?

Seen this 2017 article recirculating a lot lately? It's being widely used to absolve ourselves of personal responsibility for , including trivializing eating as an effective solution. Prepare to be shocked at just how misleading this is. (1/14)

You, an intellectual: I just saw a viral article saying avocados aren’t vegan. Me: Fair enough. I’ll stop eating avocados. Will you stop eating cows? You: No. I just wanted to be a dick for some reason.

The Guardian released an article saying to mitigate the worst of climate change, the US and UK need to reduce meat consumption by 90%. But all I ever hear from y'all is “Well I don’t eat that much meat anyway.” Since math is not your strong suit, let me break this down for you...
