Think of every big announcement, partnership, development release that your favorite coin has had since you started investing. Look at its price now compared to what it was when that happened. Until your coin is used daily by millions, these announcements hold no value.

They have alot of planned use cases but I think still a bit a ways from mass daily use volume. I think what they do with Bittorrent will tell us how soon or far away they are from this.

Sorry buddy but I have to disagree ;) market value and intrinsic value are two complete opposites. If they don't match just wait and or buy the dip. It only shows the immaturity of the market imo.

I'm not saying these things won't impact them long term, if a company creates a new protocol that no other company has ever thought of, of course long term that will be big, but for the immediate time being, the announcement means nothing, one big Bitcoin dip and price is gone.

I agree. People invest in any ICO... I would have invested in Facebook's IPO but really, most of these ICO's are dump. And even if you did not invest in FB's IPO at $38, it was trading 47% DOWN at $20 on Nasdaq 68 days later. Bottom line: There's no rush to buy into any hype.

100%. Until these coins are being used as often as PayPal or Twitter, they're going to move with Bitcoin and will not break free on their own. So anything that pumps the price now, is doing it incredibly short term, which again, means the announcement holds no value.
