Look it’s the Vicar of Oswaldtwistle who has just raised £400 for the ⁦⁩ Mean Bean challenge. He went for 5 days on 900 calories a day. Shown here with a big fifty quid note from school.

Today, Christians hold the cross high over the world and so show the world a new way of living. Looking forward to the Liturgy of the Day at 2pm.

The devastation left behind by last night’s fire at in Paris has also produced this photo of the interior this morning, with the Cross standing defiantly against destruction. Could there be a better image for ?

Much more than history and heritage. Notre Dame shows the powerful hold that Christian buildings hold over our imaginations, even in secular W. Europe. They are physical symbols of the God who will never abandon his people, even if they forget their need of him.

Clearly a fiction. No one in Lancashire says ‘innit.’ Or ‘izzit’ for that matter.

Please pray as today we celebrate a Mass of Requiem for David Sage, one of the most remarkable and courageously faithful people I have ever met. Pray also for his parents Helen and Fr Andrew (an priest who will be preaching).
