Ocracoke doesn't have a Girl Scout group selling cookies this year. I am happy that a group from Hatteras will be here on Feb. 23 to sell cookies. It will be a lot of fun to have the girls in this side of the ferry.

On mornings like this I am so happy I don't drink coffee. The power is out again this morning on Ocracoke and lots of folks are coming up with alternative ways to get their caffiene fix.

Come out and see Trudy and John today. They have a pop up tent on the lawn and are selling fig cake, fig preserves, t-shirts, and the 300th anniversary Blackbeard sticker. My favorite new thing is the fig barbeque sauce. They will be here until about 4 today.
