Catholic schools have a long tradition of enrolling staff & students from a broad spectrum of personal circumstances, ... Catholic or not, but we expect they will support the religious identity & mission of the school: at a Senate hearing this morning

Join us at St Patrick’s Cathedral on Wednesday 28 November, as we stand up in solidarity with the millions of people around the world who are persecuted for their peacefully held religious beliefs.

I live in the Archbishop’s Suite at St Pat’s built by +Knox, but I’m the 1st Abp to live here. It’s decorated with lots of fancy patrimony, but I’ve added this gift from the kids of St Lucy’s . I tell people it’s a major artwork & they go wow. They should.

On Armistice Day, the people of Poland celebrate the re-establishment of the Polish nation. We had a lovely Mass in the Cathedral today to commemorate the centenary. Happy Polish Independence Day!

I visited the Museum today at ACU. What a woman! Another ‘home grown’ saint (that’s her in the top righthand corner). Along with ACU & CWL, Museum is assisting in progressing Mary’s canonisation cause. They are looking for help & financial assistance. Can you help?

At for ‘pre race’ gathering. Half of Melb’s young Catholics have turned up to hear some old codger. Should be fun.

This enormous tree adjacent to the front of the Cathedral came out in bloom while I was away in Rome. Such a beautiful sign of springtime life here in the city.

Confirmations of some young people (from our Cathedral Chior) and some adults (from our parishes) this morning. May the Spirit blow them into lives lived in faith, hope, and love.
