Fracking is a danger to our water supply. It’s a danger to the air we breathe. It causes earthquakes. It’s highly explosive. And it’s contributing to climate change. We need to ban it nationwide.

I wonder where stands on this issue. I guess asking him would be considered an attack though.

I live in Oklahoma and I’m not saying these earthquakes aren’t more frequent because I can’t tell. They are so small, you can’t feel them.

Oklahoma earthquakes in 2015 (orange) and wastewater disposal sites (blue). As a native Oklahoman I had never experienced an earthquake until the fracking ramped up here. Now wells near earthquake clusters are being made to close. And suddenly we have fewer earthquakes. 🧐

Fracking is a violent act motivated by blind greed. Realization is needed to see we can still get the energy we need through considerate and harmonious interactions with our environment.

I agree and would add that we need to start phasing it out. Incremental changes towards renewable sources could bring ppl together to get this done.

Fracking is a source of methane emission, a greenhouse gas 30 TIMES more potent than CO2. WE HAVE TO SHUT IT DOWN.

Sanders joins Britain's Corbyn and Mexico's Lopez Obrador in pointing out the dangers of fracking and the need to ban it. It's a relief to know there are some sane leaders in the world.
