I think you'll find that the Hudson Valley forecast is pretty similar to NW NJ much of the time. To fill in the gaps, I did create this little radar page to track storms!

As the storm gained latitude, it transitioned from tropical to extratropical (i.e. its characteristics changed). During this process, it lost its eye feature and much of the rain/wind was on its northern side.

Isaias' center is now moving right over the , severe weather is easing πŸ™Œ For the 16th time on record, the center of a tropical storm or hurricane is passing directly over top the region. It is approximately a 1 in 10 year event. Irene was the last, in 2011.

Statistics show that the "I" storms are the ones most frequently retired. No denying Isaias' impact across a huge area, but it was only a category 1 in the end.

update [11:00 am] β€” the worst of the storm is about ~3 hours south of the . When it rips through, expect wind and rain intensity to increase dramatically. Plan to be indoors between 1-4pm while it passes.
