Once I let the Joker get ahold of me. A teammate wanted to dress up and teach in character. I felt like I couldn’t stay in character well enough so I didn’t do it. After seeing how much fun her class had I decided I was never going to let that happen again!

Differentiating the process in writing! Goal: add comparison statements to their nonfiction books. I scaffold the level of support they may need to complete this task with teacher/partner, mentor text or rubric support. I adjusted during, they chose & layered the help.

I had to leave pretty immediately on a room transformation day when daycare called with an emergency with my kiddo. Students and I were both disappointed, but flexible and rallied back and picked right back up where we left off when I returned to school.

“As a teacher, you have the power to create this eagerness to come to school. When your students can’t wait to see what you’ll do next, you become the wild card that just might change the game for them.” My passion! I can’t wait to start the school year!
