My dad told me there were wells in our back woods. A few years ago I asked him about the wells. He said "what wells" lol

I was impressed by the heavier band through your area. I went one to three :) First winter storm of the season behaved. Bring on the next!

There are a lot of young people seeking mentors. Maybe let's seek those kids out and try to help them.

Honestly, at this point, he knows. Numerous professionals have tried to help him. Tried to teach him to respect the NWS, SPC, WPC, and his elders in the field of meteorology. There is nothing else to say to him. He obviously does not care. Block him.

An example. The higher dew points are way south. It appears as if snow would fall on the backside for someone. Locally heavy rain on frontside. Gusty winds with a low like that, as well.

Most likely. Right now, subject to adjustments, dew points are below the threshold I look for when thinking severe. It is possible someone south and east of us has issues TUE night into WED night. Worth monitoring. Potent low.

It's ironic. I have mentioned this a lot over the last few years. Of course, America would be cooler. Murphy's law?

There is quite a bit of discussion about the FRI/SAT portion of the forecast. Low confidence. Rain chances begin over SE Missouri and SW IL on Wednesday night. Rain spreads eastward on THU. A 2nd system on FRI. I will monitor FRI night/SAT.

Hurricane Dorian’s price tag in the Bahamas is $3.4 billion, a new report found. Or 1/4 of that nation’s GDP. The U.S. equivalent would be a storm with a $5 trillion price tag. The report:

The human impact of precipitation: At least 15 icy road fatalities during this past week's winter weather across the Midwest/Plains USA. An 8-year old child is among those lost. This count is a minimum number, as many crashes go unreported in media.
