For anyone heading south on M6... Collision on M6 Southbound between J34 (Lancaster) and J33 (Galgate) causing queues of several miles. The collision has occurred in the roadworks area closing two lanes. Traffic is also queuing on the n/bound. P: 16:35 hrs.

The M6 northbound carriageway is expected to remain closed until this afternoon following a collision between junctions 40 and 41 this morning. The southbound side reopened earlier this morning. Motorists should take this into account when planning journeys.
