Was that distinction not used on the graphic for the VFL Men’s Game?

Congrats to Jess Blecher’s on winning the Women’s premiership, and to Dani Marshall and the for making the run all the way from the third spot. Both players made us super proud this year, representing the 🇺🇸 in the VFLW all season long.

Yeah that’s what I thought. Being in IT and having worked with databases, it a) eliminates confusion and b) since the name is a “key identifier”, it needs to be distinct from other entries. I don’t think there’s any malfeasance.

That’s what I figured. It’s odd that they can’t change that for the broadcast but I don’t think it’s anything other than for database purposes.

I would fly in from the USA for that. But please let that not be for many years. Or, at least wait for me to go first.

The only reason I can think of is because they’re in a system as such.

I know I commented on the lack of attendance a couple of weeks ago, but fans deserve much credit for sticking w their team through a long building process. And make fun of their smaller member numbers all you want, but they get to watch their team in a Grand Final.

This will be my lasting memory of the prelim. A bloke I’ve never met uncontrollably emotional long after the siren went. Tell me again, that it doesn’t mean anything and we’re a fake club. Roll on , roll on.

To be fair, she heard the commentators refer to it as “footy” and she knew that Aussie Rules was known by that name too, but didn’t realize that it means two different things in each city.

Hockey is indoors. You’ll love it. Also there is arena gridiron here which is fun if not a tad gimicky.
