I’m surprised it’s not been a bigger part of the conversation.

Amazing! We have been living around the corner from Anne of Cleves House for three months now and I still haven’t ventured past the cafe.

No, any app should do fine. I just use the built in one on my iPhone but I know some people use Spreaker and others.

Of gore/horror I mean. Not the creative high point. Though it’s up there for sheer balls!

Excellent point. And that moment from Faces is the previous high point in 700+ hours of Trek.

Also, to be honest, all we know about Seven is she had one relationship with a man when she was very young/emotionally immature. She may have exclusively dated women since then. Or she may have only ever got close to these two individuals. I imagine the betrayal would stick.

Also base a character on her in your next book and have her meet a gruesome end.

As we now know, Picard avoided promotion as long as possible - possibly on Kirk’s advice. The Last Best Hope makes it clear he had no choice but to accept if he wanted to command the Romulan rescue.

Me too. Loved the short format. I think this was around the time of The Green Mile as well so little books were in!

I felt it was more than subtext tbh. It seemed pretty clear to me they had been in a relationship.

This is a great point. The opposite of something like Best of Both Worlds, where they boxed themselves into a corner with no idea how to get out of it.

and I were discussing this yesterday. It’s also striking that of all the new Trek shows, the only one in which Starfeet is fully functioning at the centre of the story will be Lower Decks, an animated 90s spoof. Trek has definitely changed!
