Please share your stories of the time strangers were good to you. Mine was the cab driver who just calmly handed me an entire box of Kleenex as I wept in the back of a late night cab after saying goodbye to a friend.

My sister had just died. I was sitting in a church for a friend’s ordination, sitting alone in the pew for the first time, listening to music that we’d sung together & couldn’t stop sobbing. A kind woman slid down the pew to sit beside me & held my hand the whole time.
