Understood. The key (to me) is to identify and be able to articulate one's own ethic -- presumably based upon the "end" or goal/s of the hunt -- and not just tradition or even local culture. I'm for hunting intentionally.

An interesting article on hunting ethics with input from Jim Tantillo, a contributer to "God, Nimrod, and the World," as well as a quote from the text. -"Doing the right thing when no one else is watching" - Aldo Leopold

A fascinating & depressing tale of how big-money speculators, anti-2A laws, and the nasty side of capitalism have nearly killed a once-quality brand & its products. (The article is loaded with bias, but the story is well-written & disturbing)

Looking out my front door: Living on rural land isn't easy as there is always work to be done or work to be avoided--and that is after work. But there are rewards like the constant singing…

Or those who worked their way through college, paid ALL their loans plus interest, and chose not to reproduce? Tax them more?

Thanks to the officers and members of at Kansas State for hospitality and a good time. We shared good conversations around the event & there are many areas for complementary research related to hunting.

Looks like he was fine with turkeys and pigs being killed for the sake of big business and sandwiches

Looks like he got in some hot water. Essentially he put a man, not just hunting, in the crosshairs.

It's turkey season and America is divided. "It's the American cultural divide in one glorious, near-defamatory tweet."

It may safely be recieved as an axiom...that the State governments will...afford complete security against invasions of the public liberty by the national authority...They can discover the danger...possessing all the origins of civil power... A Hamilton(!)

Seizure of property without compensation, by edict--before the representatives pass a law. According to PM, gun ownership is a privilege not a right. One horrendous crime by a law-breaker and a country is deprived of freedoms (but apparently not rights.)

Pleased to see "God, Nimrod, and the World" () in the company of works by George Orwell, William Faulkner, , and the great Aldo Leopold. (Not so sure about the Babylon Bee!)
