Secret shopper in Phlebotomy. I was overwhelmed by the care shown to patients there this morning despite a number of difficult challenges. Well done Mandy, Sandy and the team for such compassion. 👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻

After welcoming our new intake of junior doctors last week (all 236 of them!), we thought we’d speak to someone who’s been there and got the T-shirt, a geriatric medicine registrar, who’s keen to be a friendly face and support our new arrivals.

Today reminded me why I became a nurse. I got to see how DBS surgery has changed a patients life. From severe dyskinesia, unable to ride a bike or do up buttons to sitting still & walking around with ease. They left in tears thanking us for changing their life.
