This Ullswater steamer will be joined by the rest of the fleet of five this evening to celebrate 160 years since first operated on the lake. It's the first time they've ever all been on the lake together.

Work's begun in Egremont to create 26 houses - built in modular form in a factory, and delivered to the site. The housing association Home Group, which is is replacing the flats on Royal Drive, says it's the first time this construction method has been used in the region.

A Cumbrian museum that's getting almost £100,000 of Lottery funding says it'll improve its gallery and offer chances for people to create their own exhibitions there. Keswick Museum says its displays will be updated to better reflect the town's language, literature and people.

It's hoped a 2 week archaeological dig will uncover the site of at least 1 of the hostels near Windermere, that housed 300 Jewish boys liberated from Nazi concentration camps. They were brought to Troutbeck Bridge at the end of the war - but not a trace remains on the surface.

A fleet of 5 passenger steamers will sail on a Cumbrian lake today. Ullswater "Steamers", that's been operating since 1859, says the fleet includes the oldest working passenger vessel in the world - the Lady of the Lake.
