So many fascinating stories on today about including from Eleanor in Falmouth – her dad survived the prisoner of war camps in Rangoon, and kept a diary by writing on tiny pieces of paper which kept in cracks in the camp wall

📟 Shout 06:24 - Electricty pole on fire, Treyarnon. Crew closed the area for scene safety and waited until western power isolated lines before extinguishing with a hosereel jet once pole had collapsed.

At Launceston on the A30 there's slow traffic in both directions after an earlier incident. All lanes have reopened.[SG]

On A38 between Saltash and Menheniot there’s queueing traffic both ways. The A388 near Carkeel is also very slow moving.

If travelling in pls be aware has re-opened however there are LONG DELAYS following this earlier incident. There are approx. 3.5 miles of congestion east and 3 miles west, likely to add at least 30mins to usual travel times.

Bridge: 15:00. Due to earlier closure of the A30 at Launceston, traffic remains very heavy eastbound into Devon. Westbound traffic into Cornwall is running clear across the Bridge however is backing up from Carkeel into the tunnel. All westbound routes past Carkeel very slow.
