I’ve heard Turkish advances into Syria have been slow and fighting very intense. The Kurds are really giving their all against Turks and Turk-backed militias.

The Kurds have a tragic history, both perpetrating massacres of Greeks alongside the Turks, and being victims themselves of massacres by the Turks. Yes, it was years ago, but it’s not something to ignore either (it was our ancestors affected). Kurds aren’t our enemy or friend.

The enemy of your enemy is also your enemy, it’s crazy to me to support one group of people who also murder Christians just to stick it to Turkey, some people need a reminder.

Brits should vote, and Brits have the accessibility to attain photo ID. You are using the same rubbish as the American Democrat’s. Fools the lot of them, and fools yourselves!

We are, and that’s why we chase Turkish planes and ships out of our air and sea space. When Erdogan and his government continue to threaten Greece and Europe by sending millions more refugees, Erdogan leaves us no choice but to ratchet up our defenses even more.

It’s time for real sanctions to take place, and if Turkey continues its invasion and violence, perhaps more is required from the international community. Enough thuggery from Erdogan.

Erdogan has to go in order to help with the prospect of an agreement mutually beneficial to the West and Turkey. Erdogan’s threats to send millions on refugees to Europe if they call their invasion an “invasion” only hurts the cause.

Brief reminder that George Plethon, whose original name, Gemistos, means "stuffed", advocated for men who fornicated with other men or animals to be burned alive, and adultresses to be forced into prostitution.

Expel Turkey from NATO, the EU, the US and the UN must implement immediate sanctions on to Ankara and, if this reckless violence and attacks against Western assets continue, military confrontation can not be off the table.

Should’ve maintained Smyrna and not invaded further into Anatolia. Smyrna (at the time) had a larger number of Greeks in the city than even Athens. And you are right about the coup, however Turkey still occupies the north militarily so their EOKA excuse has long past expired.

I believe this is just a prelude to something bigger. Long term, Turkey will be the biggest loser in all this.

I’m no fan of Erdogan and this Turkish invasion is truly despicable. But you and I are not surprised given Turkey’s history (as you cite with Cyprus). Now the world is seeing with the same eyes as we do what Turkey’s intentions are, and the world should decide on action, not USA.
