I have been trying to tell my son's schools for 5 years i think he has PDA and when i got him refered to CAMHS i was told " the doctor doesn't believe in PDA" it doesn't matter anyway a CDC said there is no one qualified in Hertfordshire to diagnose it and we will not transfer.

We need to be very careful that the emphasis being placed on what things are called doesn’t blur and then overtake the more important emphasis on young people, their day to day needs and how best to provide them with help and support.

I think if there is consistency from . the government and direction under diagnosis through the NICE guidance. It will be clarified as either ASD with a profile of PDA ASD with Demand avoidance Pervasive development disorder (ASD with demand avoidance features)
