Steffi from my recollection never looked like she spent much time strength training. Martina shifted gears in terms of addressing the increased physicality of the game w/ dips,squats,..bench press etc.

Nadal took a reverse in loosing those huge biceps,& shoulders he walked a/r w/ in his late teens,..early 20's Serena has absolutely spent time in the gym,.you don't get quads,& shoulders like that hitting a ball,esp. when you're coupling that w/ cardio,& sprints.
