Crews responded to a main break near the Shoal Creek Hike/Bike Trail on 24th/Lamar. The trail will be temporarily closed to pedestrians to complete repairs. Customers in the immediate area will see a short interruption in water service as repairs are finalized.

Harmful toxins have now been detected in blue-green algae at Auditorium Shores as well as Festival Beach + Red Bud Isle. Do not allow dogs to swim in Lady Bird Lake or drink the water. Avoid stagnant areas of the lake + don’t handle algae. Info + updates:

Update: We recently found algae mats at Auditorium Shores & are testing them for toxins. Toxins are still present in the algae at Festival Beach & Red Bud Isle. We recommend you do not allow dogs to swim in or drink from any part of Lady Bird Lake.

Due to risk of wildfire a Parks Burning Restriction is in effect. This includes the use of wood or charcoal BBQ pits/grills/smokers. Propane stoves are allowed in designated picnic areas only. Smoking is always prohibited in City of Austin parks. Violations = fines up to $500.
