Auschwitz Memorial
Those two pictures are less than 12 years apart. On 10 May 1933 Nazi party staged ideological spectacle of burning of 'un-German’ books. After the liberation of remains of burnt people were discovered. Auschwitz is a warning of where human hatred can lead to.

"Auschwitz is a warning of where human hatred can lead to." More exactly, it's a warning of what happens when one group decides that another group isn't really human.

That final picture is truly haunting knowing how the extermination process worked in these killing centers. It's heartbreaking knowing that men, women, children, grandparents ended like that poor soul.
