How do you know people didn't act at the time? In my case someone else intervened and the guy was suitably told off by male colleagues. I have to hope it changed him.

I would say there is a pattern emerging in thus thread. Worst experiences of women at conferences involve inappropriate sexual advances from men with alarming frequency. Weirdly, men don't seem to suffer from this sort of problem very often. 🧐
