As he agitates for war against , here’s all you need to know about Mike Pompeo: “I was the CIA director. We lied, we cheated, we stole. We had entire training courses.”

I’m confident Kavanaugh lied. He was under oath. His intent was to deceive. The lies were material. That’s perjury.

Saudi officials say they have NOT reached the same conclusion that Iran launched the attack and indicate that the information shared by the US is not definitive.

Remember when you broke , saying knowingly it's the 'worst' when, in fact, it was working to contain 's nuclear program, ensuring non-proliferation & global security. You stuck to it knowing it's a lie. Now we're on war path, despite your anti-war talk. We'll see?

The Senate is considering language, similar to House passed, affirming does not have authority to go to war w/Iran under existing AUMF. Now would be a good time for the Senate and Congress to step up.

How is this not a bigger story? The prime minister of America’s closest ally and “only democracy” in the Middle East, an ally backed by self-styled liberals and progressives throughout Congress, has had his official FB page suspended for hate speech.

is not a victim & while we fret over oil $, is ravaged by war. In fact, ME has been ravaged not for yrs, or decades, but centuries. It’s simple, for every action there is a reaction & believing people will just submit is our irrational thinking, not theirs

Congress has voted multiple times to end US involvement in the war on Yemen. Now that war may suck the US into all out regional war with Iran and, instead of going to Congress or making his case to the American people, Trump is asking the Kingdom for instructions.

’s policy ignores view, history, interests & global security. It’s driven by interests of a few, while many suffer. My new piece looks at history that informs part of why ‘max pressure’ is failing & war wouldn’t be so easy

Mr. Trump, the Constitution of the United States is perfectly clear. Only Congress—not the president—can declare war. And Congress will not give you the authority to start another disastrous war in the Middle East just because the brutal Saudi dictatorship told you to.

11/ Bottom line: the Saudis sowed the seeds of this mess. They marginalized the Houthis in the 80s and thru the 2000s wars. They bungled the prosecution of the post 2015 conflict. Houthis/Iranians have blood on their hands too, but the U.S. should not be a part of this disaster.

Key sentence on US claims about photo evidence: "The satellite photographs released did not appear as clear cut as officials suggested, with some appearing to show damage on the western side of the facilities, not from the direction of Iran or Iraq."

My translation: “As a candidate, I blamed for 9/11. As president, I sold it $110 billion worth of arms, yet our Saudi client-state knows how to use those arms only on so I guarantee the world’s most retrograde dictatorship by fighting its fight against .”

Trump is outsourcing decisions about war and peace to Saudi Arabia which just so happens to keep Trump and the GOP’s biggest fundraiser, Norm Coleman, on a lucrative lobbying contract...

You don’t ask Saudi Arabia about how to proceed. You ask Congress. You do not have the authority to attack any other country on behalf of Saudi Arabia without getting permission first from Congress. (FYI the answer will be no)

To state the obvious, an attack on another country’s oil infrastructure is not actually a legal grounds for US military action under either domestic or international law. If Trump strikes someone bc of this it will be unconstitutional.
