Here’s a thing - in this set-piece we vary the speed based on your progression so you’re in just the right place for all the key moments. I specifically tuned it for accessibility so you can play with one hand if you have to.

You can see the slower version second in the video. It was also important to factor in that some people find it difficult to move and hit face buttons at the same time, so the front and back surfaces were designed to be climbable without jumping.

cc here because Uncharted 2 was called out in her book (which I’m loving!). The above trick was in invented for the opening train runout/jump in U2. Yes you can die, but we only wanted people trying to break it to die. We’ve been iterating on that tech ever since!

This is awesome! Thanks for letting me know 😃. The Uncharted 2 opening is an onboarding masterpiece 😍, even though it can be too punishing for some players, but I’m being picky 😉. I’m so very glad you’re enjoying my book btw! Thanks again 🌹

Hi Asher! Quick question. If by 'speed' you mean the rate of the visual effects, aren't those triggered by trigger areas on the disk? So when Chloe goes through a trigger point, the FX will initiate? If Chloe stays in one place, will the FX still happen? Need to replay this part
