Looks like NC GOP has replaced one egregious gerrymander with another. This is like asking a robber to design a new safe. Court should order independent expert to draw fair maps

Could Texas be any more intentional? Houston voters elect 19 Black women to judgeships. GOP then introduces bill to replace judicial elections w/governor-appointed judges. Kicker: Bill would end elections only in counties w/500,000+ people, targeting urban areas like Houston.

Good. Key Republicans are backing away from turning Kentucky into a banana republic by overturning GOP Gov. Matt Bevin's apparent loss using an arcane state constitutional provision. It's frightening that this has even been on table

Amazing to see these important voting rights victories last night. But we can’t forget that Congress still needs to act. The House is expected to vote soon on to help restore the Voting Rights Act of 1965. One of ’s biggest priorities.

Tuesday was a big night for Dems, but it may have been an even bigger night for voting rights. Voters in 3 states chose candidates and policies that could result in expanded ballot access, an undoing of gerrymandering efforts, and a fairer voting system.

The only “irregularities” was a Democrat winning the election. Once again GOP can’t accept outcome of a free and fair election

Everything you need to know about American politics can be boiled to this: When one party wins, it does everything it can to make it easier to vote. And the other party does the opposite.

NC GOP replacing one Congressional gerrymander with another. Courts should not allow this. Once you’re found guilty of gerrymandering an independent expert should immediately redraw (that’s also how it should work in the first place)
