Applications to join our v3.2 closed beta are now open 👉 We're looking for regular rideshare users to help us test our new in-app rideshare+payments features. Lots of design challenges in building a cooperative rideshare app and we want your feedback👍

Email+password login is already in v3.2 and we should be adding Twitter+Google before it goes live, maybe v3.3 in Aug

Early July it will be private to our core team and top guild leaders, opening up throughout the month with a public open beta by end of July. We've got lots to test and gather feedback on! We'll coordinate in our Discord and our FB group: Stay tuned :)

Not so much what "we" solved, but what our flagship Austin network did: how to reliably provide daily service to a major city for 3 years, 300,000+ rides and counting, with no incidents and no budget. We'll share more about their success soon: lots for other coops to learn from.

That's the billion-dollar question... Looks like their beta is a few months away, that's when we'll really sink our teeth into Holochain development.

[1/6] Shweet. We think truly distributed post-blockchain architectures like make the most sense for platform cooperatives; in fact is the only crypto protocol website we've seen specifically mention they're designed to support platform coops.

[6/6] We think the "real" sharing economy will feature one integrated+interoperable 'network of networks' that will absorb or disrupt the balkanized "Uber for X" corps. Cooperation between projects definitely needed. Still there is urgency for growth. So do we have a bet? :)

[5/6] Providing training+toolkits for cooperatives is increasingly a priority for us this year. Happy to collaborate or share resources when appropriate. We were frustrated to see 20+ "decentralized rideshare" projects come and go in the 2017 ICO boom: none reached out to us.

[4/6] For now we use basic client/server architecture via ReactNative and a Laravel API, staying as agile as possible, prioritizing a tight feedback loop with riders+drivers. Helping cooperatives replace corps as arbiters of the network-- lots to figure out.

[3/6] In the meantime we think the chief obstacles to cooperative rideshare marketplaces working in practice are primarily social, not technical. How do I trust this driver enough to get in their car with no corporate backing? We've solved that in Austin, no "blockchain" needed.

[2/6] We have a basic proof-of-concept here but otherwise waiting for their Rust refactor to be closer to production-ready before redirecting dev resources there. Open to other ideas that offer permissionless scaling peer-to-peer.

In addition to building the world's first & only self-governing P2P rideshare network, Arcade City now leads the entire industry on three key metrics: driver earnings, driver retention, & cost efficiency. A retrospective on our third anniversary:

Faster you say?! :) How about we race to 1 million users, ? Specifically 1M members of rideshare cooperatives, publicly verifiable. Let's make it really interesting and bet 1 BTC or more... :))))))
