After an operation for appendicitis a day ago it is so wonderful to be listening to on my hospital bedside. Thank you for such lovely morning music and playing the best classical music out there it has boosted my spirit!

Thank you Nicole. Yes it indeed has an Einaudi touch to it! Perhaps I have been playing and listening to too much Einaudi recently....

With a few cups of coffee down me, I decided to record a small improvisation on the piano this morning. Please do have a listen if you have a spare moment:

Being a past treble at and during my time at CCCS was an invaluable part of my musical education whilst in Oxford. Worcester College is a beautiful place to both to have been part of and sing at. Please retweet to other organists!

I did not expect this at all, but I am so honoured to have my name be put on the Cressbrook House Colours board. Thank you so much to for this honour. It is a pleasure to be part of the Cressbrookian history and part of such a large Sedberghian community!

I had the pleasure of hearing the St Matthew Passion last Thursday in the Aberdeen Music Hall led by Trevor Pinnock. It was an extraordinary performance and very moving, thank you for such a fantastic concert!

Indeed . It was a small Oxford calendar that I received as a gift. It is always lovely to have views of some of the Oxford colleges, namely . It always brings back fond memories of Oxford whilst I was at as a schoolboy and a chorister

Yes, we had the unique opportunity and honour to have sung in the actual castle (Zámek Nové Město nad Metují) for one of our concerts. The choir were warmly welcomed by the local village community. It was an extraordinary and surreal experience!

It seems I have planned out my weekend, but what a lovely way to spend it! I always love writing about J.S Bach and his music, but for this essay in particular I will be specifically talking about the dramatic nature of Bach’s iconic work - the St Matthew Passion, BWV 244.
