I finished Homegoing by Yaa Gyasi tonight...what a novel! It's compelling and illuminating, evocative, poignant, with a powerful sense of hope coursing through it. Just beautiful.

Saturday morning reading... This is proving to be an incredibly poignant read - harrowing, but instilled with a sense of hope as well. The structure is so well-crafted to highlight that tone. What are you all reading today?

Ooh I've not heard of that. Would you suggest reading the novels first or can they be read separately?

Tell me about it. I'm just moving jobs & relocating, so money is tight before my next pay day but there are at least 5 books released this week that I'm now having to resist!
