Even better would be if we, as a nation, believed all kids shud have a healthy lunch included as part of a free public school education & demanded our elected officials make it happen. Charity shudn't be neeeded to make sure kids r properly cared for while in the care of schools.

In my school district, cafeteria staff are employees, but they're paid really poorly, & the food is still mostly frozen prepared stuff out of big boxes. We're missing a huge opportunity here to teach kids what healthy food is and start good habits early.

Exactly. Human right=a basic right you're due because you're human, not because you have enough money, chose the right career, have the right family name, made better decisions etc

Let's also remember how much of a dr's costs are related to administrative work involved in filing ins claims w/myriad different cos, each w/its own filing quirks, & then appealing erroneously denied claims. I bet Drs really look forward to that part of running their own practice

Last night, I was asked if I’d buy back AR-15s and AK-47s. I said, “Hell yes.” If you’re with me, RT.

Retweet if you feel that @DebButlerHD18was channeling YOUR anger and disgust as she excoriated the GOP on the floor of the North Carolina House today. - keep it trending for NC.

I'm sure when she sits down at the table to get to work, she brings a calm level head. She would never have been successful as a prosecuter if she couldn't do that. Passion is appropriate in this circumstance as she tries to show people how seriously she takes this issue.

Upon informing my GP of my hEDS diagnosis and answering some questions about it, "But at least you're healthy, right?" 🤯

I see you've chosen to ignore the rest of what I wrote and quibble over 48 vs 44. Whatever.

Fine, 48. Not a big difference. But it's not just because there was a decision made to let entire 48% go without paying no matter what they earn. It's because they qualify to pay nothing based on their low income plus deductions. Same happens elsewhere.

Wow. My husband -- her father -- is English. I didn't suggest they should actually. I'm pointing out that contrary to what critics will try to lead you to believe, they were much better stocked than what is typical in the US.
