I imagine in this setting, flowers retain their identity even through death, and know that even if the love they signify this time around might not last, they testify above all to Love, who we know is a person who never wearies of pursuing us.

It was deeply inspired by a convo from when one of my closest friends and I were exploring the idea of a relationship: that any heartache would be so worth it even if my love for her was only ever meant by God to be a brief reminder of how precious and beloved she is to Him.
