That's just a really good ball by Russell, from a really atypical spot on the field for such a deft ball to be played, to set up Espinoza (who looked offside).

Encouraging teachers to engage in back-and-forth gunfire combat is now preferable to preventing a shooter from obtaining their mass death tool of choice and going on a shooting spree. This account has said some truly dumb things in its time, but this might just be the dumbest.

While guys suddenly retiring at 30 is a surprise now, it'll start happening at 26 and 27 because they'll have been ~adequately compensated for the abuse they've put their bodies through for almost a decade already. I assume the NFL would do everything in its power to prevent this

You also gotta think… this is the last thing the NFL wants, because right now CFB is a FREE minor league system for them. If they start getting paid at 18/19 until they go pro, they'll play shorter pro careers because they'll reach their $ benchmark way earlier in life

Clearly I'm a bit biased, but I agree with Thom's assessment and will let his tweet do the talking for me…

Because IF we're keeping it a buck, and talking attitudes and distractions, there is no real difference between Marcus Peters and Travis Kelce. Other than that thing.

The Chiefs traded Marcus Peters because he was the Unruly Negro and there is nothing anyone can say to convince me otherwise.

Peters was KC's first look at a particular brand of unfettered Blackness. We're used to the well-spoken (Priest), humble (E Berry), big smiling (LoCain) brothers. But Marcus was raw and abrasive and outspoken. He shook this city's Whiteness to it's core. And we couldn't deal.

I know they're billing the fact they're playing somewhere they haven't been as some kind of fan outreach or goodwill or whatever, but… who else is gonna pay stupid money for a meaningless game with who knows what the hell the roster will be?
