Big thanks to and for supporting yesterday at the charity golf tournament for this years conference. We raised over $12,000 to free cannabis prisoners and help them re-enter…

I’m offended. Fight a war with our community for a hundred years and now this craziness with the taxes. Then act like doing us a favor. I’m exhausted with this absurdity. 2 year fight on this and we’ve gotten nowhere in CA. Crazy.

Over taxation is just stupid cannabis policy. The same policy mistake over and over empowering legacy markets and making the legal one untenable. Potency taxes are the dumbest of them all. Wait for people blowing up garages to extract soon. It’s coming.

The transaction discourages kindness. It is associated with weakness. This is more and more a transactional world. So, people are afraid to be kind. They don’t want to lose. Ironically, all we do is lose in this scenario.

One of the lessons cannabis teaches us. Kindness over cruelty.

Maybe the youth are the ones who should run the country. The adults are not doing a very good job of it.

Finally, a thinker who agrees with me! I’ve been advocating the closure of the Pentagon since Reagan. I also believe in eliminating the standing military. Don’t like socialism? Cut defense, the biggest Gov program EVER.

Can mean more than one thing: 1. Bear. Cannot raise other. 2. Investors diversifying holdings. 3. Founders are bullish, rightly or wrongly. 4. Investor got played. 5. A win/win was orchestrated. Founder=capital, Investor=low risk return 6. More capital friends/family

Super excited to be heading to Barcelona for conference March 12. This is my first trip to Spain and first to Europe since I co-founded 13 years ago. Can’t wait to experience the non-profit…

I don’t disagree. But I want our community to act with the values the plant teaches us...which is not to paint over a beloved local mural with an illegal weed ad just to conduct more transactions. Come on, man!!

This is the kind of bad behavior that makes the cannabis community look terrible at the local level and encourages bans and stigma. I condemn it and I reject it.

I don’t like incremental change. Too slow and easily reversed later. I like big, structural, bold change. I’m 52 years old. When I was 18 I thought the world was ending. I still do. I’ve been at this a long time. Only bold change will save us.

A working class man creates paintings his entire life. After he’s put in a long day. In secret. He knows the art world is out of his reach. But he can’t stop. He keeps painting. This is Eric Tucker and his story. It spoke to me. Check it out...

True leaders celebrate their teams not themselves. To lead is to find joy in the success of others. Leaders set the table or weed the garden. The team serves the meal and grows the crops that are a part of it. By that time, the leader should be invisible. A good meal had by all.

The Last Prisoner Project Feb 20
As a tribute to World Day of Social Justice, let's take a moment to acknowledge those who have been unjustly incarcerated. Jawara McIntosh, Reggae legend Peter Tosh's son, was viciously assaulted while incarcerated for cannabis charges in New Jersey in 2017.

Americans don’t care about art. Too reflective and vulnerable. We might not like what we see. We like transactions! Safe. Short. Easy to understand. Not reflective. Opportunity to win. The dopamine of consumption. Rinse and repeat.
