Last week I went to a seminar on financial aid, and it finally dawned on me: The begins with PARENTS who want their kids to go to prestigious (i.e. expensive) colleges and will do anything to make that dream a reality - even if it means HUGE DEBT.

Feel obliged to say: Only muscles can expand/contract. Lungs are not muscles, so they actually just inflate and deflate. Chest wall and diaphragm muscles are doing the expanding/contracting.
