White people talking to white people. More of this please. If you’re white and you believe yourself not to be racist, yet you don’t talk to your white friends like this or stand up beyond tweets for Black people... you simply aren’t who you think you are.

White people: whatever outrage and sadness you are feeling - pouring it all out on social to your Black friends won't make them feel connected to you, it just places the burden of your feelings on top of their own. Send money, send a meal, buy from Black businesses. BE USEFUL.

The dominant image on display tonight: The American Experiment is dead. Killed by the collective knee of white power, white privilege, and white ownership of property/wealth/wage-slave labor. America the Beautiful? We never repented for our Original Sins of slavery & genocide.

Before you say those things that you don’t truly understand or think that thought you’ve been trained to think, listen to this and dig deeper.

Like so many of you, I’m pained by these recent tragedies. And I’m exhausted by a heartbreak that never seems to stop. Right now it’s George, Breonna, and Ahmaud. Before that it was Eric, Sandra, and Michael. It just goes on, and on, and on.

This☝️ is sisterhood. My toddler keeps me inspired. In her eyes I see a mirror that reflects an image of myself in every action. Looking at myself in that mirror allows me to improve every day. To see the imperfections and work through them🙌
