It closes with this Orwell quote: "If you want a picture of the future, imagine a boot stamping on a human face, forever. The moral to be drawn from this dangerous nightmare situation is a simple one: don’t let it happen." 7/7

It goes as far as using quotes from Aldous Huxley and George Orwell on the nature of fascism and how fascism causes the people it rules to believe that they actually want to be ruled and actually love their slavers. 6/7

Intertwined through ALL of that is the real message of this story: The cave and the shadows of lies are our political systems. The slavers are our leaders, who will have us not see that we're living to serve them and that there's freedom out there where we don't need them. 5/7

His friends and family in the cave don't want to leave because they believe the lie of the cave, and the shadows are their only reality. After he leaves he feels free and realizes that living in the cave is actually living in slavery, 2/7

"Unsung Prophets and Dead Messiahs" by is a brilliant concept album about several things at once but the main theme is of Plato's cave allegory, and a person in the cave who finally sees the light and manages to escape the cave. 1/7
