Our culture glamorizes poor sleep. People brag about only getting 3 hours of sleep. This is horrible, both in the short and long term, especially with migraine. Poor sleep leads to earlier cognitive decline, as well as heart issues.

There is no contest with chronic pain and illness. Someone having it seemingly "worse" does not invalidate your condition nor make it less insufferable. If you are debilitated, you are debilitated.

The EHR was optimized for billing not for delivering high quality, compassionate care. Read this story and overview of the patient harm caused. Sadly, no doctor will be surprised by the tragedy.
