Theorictically you cannot. With strain, you have to follow the doppler angle concept and should be as parallel as possible. This is also true with speckle tracking that is not as angle dependent.

Nice case. Anterior dehiscense of the ring. Interestingly, the MR is through the ring and no peri-ring regurgitation. MR does not look impressive which raises questions on how to manage. Safe to just monitor with regular echos? Presenting symptoms unlikely related.

This is a patient with a recent diagnosis of carcinoid heart disease with severe TR and severe PS. The systolic flow reversal is consistent with severe TR while the diastolic flow reversal is suggestive of a restrictive (non-compliant) RV.
