Rosa Parks, born in 1913, was an American civil rights activist who refused to give up her seat on the bus as an act of resistance to segregation. She reminds us of the importance of speaking up for inequalities and rejecting racism.

Each Day, I’m reminded that Dr. King’s dream of a more fair, equal & just world has not been fully realized. He lit the torch & we must carry it on. There’s still work to be done.

It’s been an honor to serve these past 8 years. We’ve opened KY’s doors for business, guaranteed every vote is protected, given back to our veterans & military, & improved Kentucky’s civic health. Today, I turned the lights off in the office for the final time.

Great story about the resilient people of our Commonwealth! “We’re dusty old woodworkers, not trained therapists, but so many times now, giving somebody something to do has proved to be a powerful step in their recovery.”
