I loved Pachett’s novel so much I can’t decide if BEL CANTO will delight or disappoint me. Either way this is a good review

Don’t get me wrong, I’m glad pregnancy absolves me from fasting, but I don’t want to be around people who get the satisfaction of those first morsels post-fast when I’ll be stuffing my face all day. I must be the master of self-denial, always.

I still feel ashamed about mistakes I made in high school. I still think about whether or not bad decisions define me as a person. What intrigues me is how some people easily shed their past while others carry layers of personal history into all they do.

This is how I always approach Twitter, and it’s why I’m so bad at it. The platform thrives on id and unfiltered impulses, for better or worse.

I want to read this, but then again the graphic with Franzen and DFW's huge heads and faces looking like they just sucked lemons tells me everything I need to know

Frustrating! Because I'm always hyper aware of my surroundings, even when I'm reading/in my own world, it's just hard for me to understand how people can completely check out.

Today in commuting: I’m visibly pregnant and though it’s not massively obvious yet, the only person who offered me her seat was a woman with not one but two kids in her lap. I declined. Why are you like this, people?
