I hope this means we can finally have CO2 tax now.

Here is the most effective way to lose weight: 1) introduce sugar tax & subsidize fresh vegetables 2) build bike infrastructure & close city centre off for cars, make them pedestrian 3) read up on climate change & ecological breakdown. The stress will eat you alive.

My response to that was messaging all clothes shops in my area asking them to add bigger pockets to the next year's collection. So far the response has been thank you, we will definitely keep this in mind. Let's all spam them demanding bigger pockets! 💪

Animated diagram of the Earth's Carbon Cycle and how it has changed over time. Carbon, in various forms including CO2 and organic materials, is continually exchanged between the atmosphere, oceans, and biosphere. However, human activities have perturbed the carbon cycle.

193 square feet is 18 square meters 😉 1 meter=3.2 feet, so 1 square meter is ~10 square feet.

I mean, if they wanted for women to stop having abortions, they could have made sure that all girls, women and people with female parts can get an IUD placed and replaced for free.

In the 60s we put out best efforts together and made space flight possible. If we do our best now, but really our best, we can still save the Earth.

I think cats are adorable too, but they also prey on birds and small mammals including endangered ones, causing lots of damage to local ecosystems.

Unfortunately, many people still don't believe that CO2 has an effect on the climate, or that the emissions are high enough to have an effect, or that 4-5 degrees warning will be catastrophic. I honestly feel powerless.

Why would we want to do that? Americans produce the highest amount of CO2 emissions per person, twice as much as the average European. Limiting population growth is the only logical choice.

Every time i see people using ounces or feet for measurement, I'm thinking: one meter is 1/1000th km, light travels 1km in 1/300000s, 1 cubic meter of water is 1 ton (or 1000l), etc. Now tell me off the top of your head how many feet are in a mile or cubic inches in a gallon.
