Most of the media somehow missed this (shocker!) - but on Thursday - the national umbrella organization of 67,000 US pediatricians - called for schools to reopen with “students physically present.”

Finally! I was telling my husband we need pediatricians and other child experts to be advocating for in-person school (cuz gov leaders don’t like listening to parents so maybe they will listen to doctors at least!!!)

Also in the recommendation, did they say whether masks/social distancing should not be a thing? Cuz when I see employees wearing masks, as soon as they get behind the bar they take their mask off. If adults can barely tolerate them, what about kids for 6-8 hours a day?!

Absolutely. Schools should be open in the fall.

Most of the media is too busy checking to see which republicans are wearing masks.

These Pedestrians see 1 child at a time . . . As a Kindergarten Teacher of 40 years, I don’t think that I EVER had a class smaller than 18, at 1 time we had up to 36 ! Even if they cut the 18 in half, 9 five year olds are a hand full to corral, keep masks on & to keep separated !

I read the report too. They recommend full PPE for nurses, don’t mention paraprofessionals once. I don’t think they even know what our job is.

NJ and its 1.5 million public school students will be present in Sept. The first thing we’ve done on time.

NJ is leaving most details up to the districts. My boys will not wear masks. Masks stifle young voices.

Replying to @AlexBerenson
Yes, but it says they should wear face coverings doesn’t it? Not okay with that!
