Add Iceland to the countries that have dropped school restrictions: none on kindergarten and primary schools, very loose on high schools and universities.

If the lockdown state school restrictions continue into next year, the US will be at a large and increasing gap in international education; it is ironic but probably not coincidental that big cities with troubled school systems may be hardest hit.

And if freaking Italy is opening schools in September, I don't want to hear one single word about why we can't open schools in the US by then. What we were seeing in Italy on March was a big part of why we ended up in this crap in the first place.

Of all the lockdowns being extended in US, schools make the least sense. Latest data actually suggest kids more likely to contract virus at home vs at school. It’s real-time insanity.

It is very sad that education of the next generation is considered expendable. We should be clawing to keep the schools open. Closing them should be unacceptable.

Maybe this is part of the plan. Generate a generation of uneducated ill informed citizens so that socialism will look good to even a larger group than the current indoctrinated folks.

They are so blatantly marching towards socialism, they can't even call us conspiracy theorists anymore. Just good old fashioned truth tellers.

"But Alex, they're only able to open schools because they've successfully suppressed COVID-19!" In case you were planning on making this argument: Here's a chart of per-capita deaths for all countries in Europe who will send children to school TODAY, compared to the US.

Sweden gets really screwed in that chart by delayed reporting.
